I've been using LJ a bit less lately. Some of that has to do with my thesis eating my life. Some of that has to do with other online outlets. I'm not sure how happy I am about that; I kind of like having my thoughts all collected in one place, and I like having taken the time to produce longer, more thoughtful content (for the most part) for LJ ( Read more... )

I have a friend whose 14-year old granddaughter is doing very poorly in school. She has a lot of trouble reading and a very short attention span, and she's failing some of her classes.
